Invest in Youth: Pathways to Success will provide young adults between the ages of 18 – 29 with opportunities to

Interview with employers (Hilton, Macy’s, Starbucks, Target, Sprint, United Airlines and more!)

Participate in ​experiences (pop up barbershop, music production studio, tie bar, networking cafe)

Advance their career at hands on activity centers (mock interviews, resume building station, digital lounge)​ 

Attend workshops (panel, hip hop music ​d​ ev ​elopment​ , entrepreneurship, dress for success, digital storytelling)

This event is open to all young adults, yet it focuses on addressing the unique barriers to employment and opportunity that impact Boys and Men of Color (BMOC). Special guests attending include Marshawn Lynch (aka Beastmode @MoneyLynch) formerly of the Seattle Seahawks, Yay Area hip-hop artist Trackademicks (@trackademicks), and exclusive cuts from Massive East Bay Barbershop (@hellamassive). Please come professionally dressed and bring your resume if you have one.

Invest in Youth: Pathways to Success is brought to you by The California Endowment, The California Executive’s Alliance, The City of Oakland, Ford Foundation, The James Irvine Foundation, and My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBKA) in collaboration with four regional partners responsible for launching the Bay Area BMOC Employment Project: Bay Area Council, LeadersUp, PolicyLink and Urban Strategies Council.
